Free Internet TV

Personally, I find my computer a great replacement for a lot of items I had around the house. For example, I no longer need a radio, because I have access to a ton of radio stations online. I no longer need a phone, because people can ring me up on Skype. I don’t need a calculator either, because I can do my calculations with the Windows calculator, or with Wolfram Alpha, the computational knowledge engine. Also, I do not need a TV, because I have a TV tuner and can watch TV directly on my monitor. I could also watch TV online, but I would need a specialized software application to do so – like, for example, Free Internet TV.

Thanks to the Free Internet TV application, you have access to some 2000 TV channels from all over the world. You do not need a TV card to watch all these TV stations. All you need is a PC, an internet connection and the Free Internet TV application.

The software is very easy to install as it has a straightforward installation process that resembles the ones of other Windows applications. It takes up about 3 MB of hard disk space and can run on almost any version of the Windows operating system. System requirements are the lowest possible.

Clicking on the program's executable will bring up a graphical interface that has all the options easy to reach. The interface supports various themes, having the possibility to download more from the producer's website. Basically, the interface is split into two sections, the first one displaying the actual channel and the second one offering the possibility to filter channels by their country or by genre. The bit rate of every channel is displayed next to it. Double clicking on any channel found in the list will allow it to play. Preferred channels can be added to a favorites list, to be easier to access.

Playback can be customized, by setting the video size, pausing or muting. Besides that, the user can manually add a channel to the list, by inserting its link.
